You know you need glasses when you look out the window at the platform feeder and say to yourself..."Wow, that's a strange bird. Haven't seen one like that around here before", you run for the camera. Having another look out before taking the picture, I see it's not a bird at all but a large piece of whole wheat bread that I had put out with the bird seed....sigh!
I bought myself a hula hoop, yep, a hula hoop. I use to be quite good at it when I was a child but now it always seems to be down around my ankles, lol.
The weather has been wonderful really. Yesterday the sun was shinning and it was warm enough to sit on the deck with a sweater on. Imagine, sitting on the deck in February with just a sweater on...amazing. I wouldn't mind a winter like this every year.
This morning it was a little chilly and the trees were full of frost. It looked magical! A few pictures taken on the way back from the shop.

Aren't you the funny one today! I did need a new prescription and went to the eye doctor yesterday. New glasses are coming as well as sun glasses. I got a mild bawling out for not coming in sooner (over 6 years) but man, those demmed glasses are demmed expensive ... so one makes do!
Lovely frosty pictures. We've had it pretty mild here too.
Great frosty photos here OC.
Your mention of the hula hoop brught back some memories. I had one as a child and on the day I got it it poured with rain so I couldn't go outside to practise and was confined to the bathroom because it was quite a large room and there wasn't much damage I could do there! Well! I practised so long and so hard that I got motion sickness! But at least I was in the right room for it :)
I don't know how I have missed your last few posts and was sure I had commented on the previous one with all your lovely birds but evidently not! I particularly enjoyed the photo with all the Evening Grosbeaks on the bird table, lovely little birds and it was nice to see them on the post before that as well. It was also lovely to see Stuart has reached his new home, what a sweetie he is :)
Great frosty photos, Crow. Reminds me of the forest in my childhood.
I bet the girls get more treats than himself, when out on the deck!
you must be delighted that the snow has moved on for now. April will come and hope the temperatures stay in your favour.
My Crows were not silent at all today. on the contrary: they consorted to imitating a hooter today. Never heard that one before.
wonderful frosty photos....its nice that the tempts are warm for you tho!..OH boy I can so relate to the vision changes...I used to have the eyes of an eagle..but have been wearing glassess for about 8 yrs now. I see all sorts of things that are NOT there.
A hula Hoop..wow now that brings back memories--
Amazing winter scenery photos especially the last one. Whatever is making your winter mild is making ours unusually cold. But, as I have said before, if it keeps the hurricanes away, I guess it is a fair trade.
Wonderful pictures OC - looks like fairyland.
I can't believe your weather - it's sounding much warmer over with you than it is here with us; cold, wet and windy!! But we did have a little sunshine yesterday (Saturday)
I have leaves that look like unusual birds until I get the binoculars out ;)
black & White? OC!!
