Flutter and Bee.

Finally, a sunny day. I've never seen the ground on my property so wet. You can't even step in some of the gardens without going up to your ankles in mud. Even the front with some lawn which is normaly very dry is so wet that you can hear the water squish. I got my running shoes soaked along with my feet while out fixing up a few things. Why didn't I wear my new wellies you might ask.....the answer...because I don't want to get them dirty. I have worn them to the shops twice now though and they are wonderful.

The black flies are out in force now along with some mosquitoes. They get in your eyes, mouth and up your nose. Inside your clothes as well if they can manage that. I've had to give it all up and come inside several times this morning. Of course all this wet weather and the warmer temperatures is the best thing that could happen for them. Anyway, I'm not complaining TOO much as it's a treat to see the sun. And, they are saying another sunny day for tomorrow.

So, I got my first shot of a butterfly for this season and also one of the first bees. I didn't manage to get the bees face but never the less it's the first bee photo of the summer.

Also got a picture of a water drop. I find it facinating how you can see the trees in these drops.

That's it for today, I am now out and at it again. Got to take advantage of the sunshine.

Your butterfly is beautiful and your bee looks like he is wearing his winter coat:) Our weather here is bouncing between highs in the 60's one week and then into the 90's the next. Hard on me and on the garden too.

Bee-utiful photos as always. Boy, I sure don't miss black flies. We don't have any over here. Let's keep it that way, thanks.

Those wellies will have to get dirty some time! Mud washes off, but avoid wearing them if you are applying fertilizer or pesticide- will make the designs wear away faster.

Thanks guys for the lovely compliments.

Janine, Thanks for the information. I don't have to worry though as I've never used fertilizers or pesticides. Yes, I know I'll have to wear them in the garden sooner or later, lol.

Whoa! Your pictures are fantastic. I love the raindrop, also.

Those are really cool gardening boots. Great to hear you don't use chemicals. Neither do I.:)

Love the photos, and your raindrop is lovely as well.

Great to see Insects adorn the garden and hedgerows again, isn't it? Or just to hear that Bee-buzzing after the long winter.
