Little birds, January 23, 2007
I took these this morning. I'm not sure what the first one is, a type of sparrow maybe. There were a lot about. The second on is the Black Capped Chick a Dee.
Thanks Nic, I feel like a kid at xmas when I get a decent picture. I've looked through my bird books and checked some on the internet, but still can't tell. I think you may be right with song sparrow. I'm thinking maybe a house sparrow as well????
sorry oc, mike asked me to say it was a pine siskin he has been trying to comment, look like he was succeful too! Now if only he would put his name to his posts!
I'm happy to hear it was Mike. Had I known it was him I would have been inclined to believe him when he said it was a pine siskin, lol. Mike, put something on the comment so I know it's you.

It'a Pine Siskin.
:-)
Pine Siskins have yellow on them and I didn't see any yellow on these birds.
I've looked at pictures of the Pine Siskin on the internet and yes, I now believe this is what it is.
