Moths

I've been looking around for moths and lo and behold, this morning a wealth of them were on the side of the house. Hmm, guess this means looking for a book on them now.

Yes OC - I think a book is inevitable!!

Such beautiful subjects and equally beautiful pictures. The 4th one's markings are amazing but 2 and 3 look so delicate.

Great!!

Moths, butterflies, insects on a whole ... what a vast world to discover ... and SO many variations. I take it you've discovered BugGuide. Still, if you don't know where to even begin ... even on that site it can be hard to pin point your subject! Great pictures.

P.S. ... I knew you'd like that fountain! That's why I posted that picture of the complete fountain.

Tricia, yes I think a book is inevitable. Some of them do look pretty fragile.

Cicero, lol, I had a feeling you'd figured I'd like that beauty of a fountain that you have.

These gossamer wings! Just beautiful, - Gaia must have been in a really generous mood when she 'made' some of our smallest creatures. LOL
