A Summer Like Day

I felt like I should blog but really not much is happening lately. I can say that it's like a summer day, sunny and warm, just need a t-shirt on outside and here we are into October. I finally got inspired to clean what we call the "cabin", on the bank behind the house. I came across a few things that I brought back down to the house, a silver tray and a brass tray, in bad need of cleaning. I have a good bit of silver and brass and to tell the truth, it can be a nuisance as it often needs cleaning. However, once done, it can look quite beautiful.

I had a phone call from my father. He's had some pain around his rib area for months and finally decided to see the doctor. Had x-rays taken and found out he has one broken rib and two fractured ones. The doctor told him not to do anything too strenuous. Is he listening....no, he's been digging up his potatoes and beet, cutting their lawn, doing his fast walk every morning, etc. Here he is heading for 90 years of age and there's no slowing him down. He has to get a bone density test now as he can't remember falling or hurting himself in some other way. And mother, along with everything else she's into has now taken up square dancing, lol.

I did bang together an autumn arrangement to have in front of one of the windows.
