Sunday

Not only were the crows making an awful racket in the woods yesterday morning but a little chick a dee flew into the window in the door. He was obviously stunned but still clinging to the wood going around one of the panes. I went out and gently took him off. What fragile little creatures, so tiny. So I took him over to one of the platform feeders, put him up on that, then stood watching over him. Fortunately after a matter of minutes he came to his senses and flew off.

So, in the afternoon we were off to a flea market held in one of the parking lots in the community. Quite a crowd there, in fact you had to push yourself through the people to get to see what was on the tables. I expect it will be the last one of these for this year. So now I have to show off my purchases, lol.

An interesting mug.

A lovely bowl.

Six of these glasses.

And this coffee grinder.

Another pictures of the squirrel. I see him there and can't resist taking pictures. Very cheeky squirrel.

Poor little bird; we've had so many juveniles and adults fly into the window again too, this summer. Something we have to live with (or rather the Birds) and still, as yet no fatality yet. I don't think we've had one since we came here in this house, 8 years ago! Not from windows that is. They just sit tight for a few minutes and off they go again.

Lovely purchases! And so is the yummy looking pumpkin, lol.

I'm glad the chickadee wasn't badly hurt. Such cheerful little birds, one of my favorites.

Love the mug!

Oh, poor bird. I picked one up after a similar incident and agree with you on how slight they are, amazing that something so small can survive after a direct hit.

Love the bowl and spoon and the glasses are handsome too, are they pressed glass? I'm not too sure about the mug ut hey, it's your mug!! :-)

Hi OC, I was looking at your noisy crows vid and I think they are in 'mobbing' mode. It seems that there might have been a predator nearby that was agitating them ? What do you think? A Fox or an Owl or a Hawk maybe??

Keep posting Squirrel shots, its a little cracker....

BB, I'm sure there must have been something there making them agitated. Don't know what though and didn't want to go over there to look as bears can be around at this time of year and wasn't taking any chances, lol.
