Looks like winter has arrived. It's been one heck of a week. Roger ended up in the hospital on Tuesday morning. We had to get a friend to drive him to Gander, an hour away, and take him to emergency. He had been up the two previous nights unable to breath and no sleep. The car was off the road because of problems and we were waiting on another car that we were buying. They kept him overnight and he came home the next afternoon. They couldn't figure if it was his heart or a hyatal hernia that was giving him the problem. They monitored his blood pressure all night and it was up quite a bit. He arrived home bearing pills for angina, blood pressure and cholesterol and pills to calm him down if it happens again. I think he was in a bit of a dither as he's not use to taking pills and now he's loaded down with them. He's having a hard time getting his head around it all if you ask me.
Then three of the cats came down with a cold. One went missing for almost three days and I was heart sick. He showed up today at lunchtime. I was almost in tears when I saw him. I figure he was feeling so sick that he hid away somewhere to get away from everyone. He's much better now than when he left. He, being the first one to come down with it.
Then, we picked up the new car this morning. Drove to Glovertown to the insurance company to get the paperwork done on the insurance. One of the agents came out to take a picture of the car for the files and saw that the gas tank was leaking. I couldn't believe it! We had to immediately come back home and take the car to the garage. It will be looked at later today.
And now it's snowing. We could get up to 25 cm.
Not much down yet.
Jays earlier this week.

aw oc. pleased the viking is out of holiday and that your cat has returned
((((OC))))
...oh no......sounds like a bit of overload. Maybe the softly falling snow will calm things down. I hope all is well with your Roger. My Rick had a heart attack when he was 35 because of hereditary cholesterol...it's really quite scary. He also didn't like taking the pills, but ten years later, he has had no complications and his cholesterol is quite low (thank goodness).
...back to the snow.....that first photograph looks almost magical. Love it! It feels like it could be turned into a lovely illustration for a children's book! (who knows why.....)
You've really had a time of it; but good that Himself is back home again and the cat is on the mend too. Hugs!
Pity about snow already, but your Jays always brighten things up with their wonderful colours.
What a stressful week you have all had! Glad that by the end of it things are under control... we have avoided snow but it's felt cold enough! The blue jay photos are beautiful!
I hope the coming week holds better times for you than this one OC. Good Luck.
Eek! You've had a plateful this week. I hope both Himself and the furry friend are on the mend soon. Get that snow shovel ready!
Ali
I hope things are settling down a little for you after such a time of it and the male and felines of the house are all feeling a little brighter. The snow looks pretty from here ;)
I'm taking a break from blogging for and have put my blog to bed for a little while - too busy behind the camera and away from the computer *!*
holiday? did I type holiday? bet that gave you a chuckle :D
Youve got a lovely lot of blue jays. Hope Roger doesnt have to take all those pills for long- hope he and kitty feel better soon.
Seems as if when it rains it pours. Kitty coming back and beautiful blue of bluejays gives a bit of cheer at least.
I used to not take pills much either but now it's several of the morning and bedtime too. It is hard to get your head around
:0(
Love the snow.
Do hope hubby is feeling better now! And most importantly hope the cats are all ok LOL Sounds like you are having a rough time at the moment. Take care xx LOve the snow by the way!
