A rather "Pink" day.

Himself has pink underwear! Why, you might ask?? Her inside was doing a wash, dreaming of spring and planting and threw a red article in with his whites. Oh dear, oh dear!!!! Nothing to be done for it now except the question from himself "How come my underwear is pink?"

A very mild morning. I was letting hens out and filling bird feeders with just my sweater on. I just can't get over this winter. Wonderful. A good bit of rain off and on but it's not snow.

There haven't been many birds around this week. I think because it's warmer out they are going farther afield these days. Yesterday morning I boiled a few eggs for the crows breakfast and I must say they really enjoyed this special treat.

A nice picture of Frankie.

My feeders aren't nearly as busy now as they were last month. Our snow is melting and the birds are finding some food elsewhere.

Your birds have a better breakfast than I do OC...

and aren't you lucky with your weather.. - could you send some warmth over here please; it's a very cold wind today.

Our birds are beginning to come back 'round again. The Snow Buntings were only here a couple of weeks -- much shorter visit and smaller flocks than last year. The rest of the time from the onset of winter until the first stirrings of spring, we have had none the two winters we have been here.

This morning I saw a shape come by the window and looked out to see the first crow. I threw out some torn up old tortillas for him. Just now when I went to open the curtain again (K often closes it as it sometimes glares on his screen) there were two doves eating on the ground below the feeder.

It is good to see them again.

Ah well, lessons learned. Will he wear the pinks or consign them to the rag bag?

I've never heard of putting out cooked eggs for birds. Do birds other than crows enjoy them? Spring is on the way here in England too. Lots more birds about. Snowdrops, crocuses and the first green shoots of daffs are up. From what I understand, it's been a mild Winter right across Canada.

I was just admiring Mr. Crow and noticed your peeling birch (?) trees. They are lovely. I have a couple of candles fashioned to look like them.

The backyard activity sure is picking up a bit here too. You've got those crows spoiled now...they will expect scrambled tomorrow--how cute they are. Great shot of your cat--
Pink is a good color...lol

I'm sure he looks veryt pretty in pink, lol!

I sometimes cook omelette for the birds. and indeed they love eggs.

And since Crows are famous for stealing eggs from other bird's nests, we would not need to cook them, lol!

And yokes is what tiny chicks live on before and just after hatching, so, cooked or raw, it is like giving mother's milk in mammal comparison.

Frankie is lovely.
