The Beach and Other Stuff.

The Honeysuckle is in bloom.  This is a plant largely ignored by me until one day I go by it and wonder where the most beautiful perfume I've ever smelled is coming from.   I wish I could bottle it and carry it around with me forever.

The weather has been lovely.  I wish this would stay forever as well.  Winter will be here soon enough....not a season I look forward too.   My daughter and grandson came for a visit last week.  It was great to see them.   One evening after supper we went down to the beach.  It's only a few minutes walk down the road, something I should take advantage of more often.

Grandson on beach.

 Around the beach.

Pretty flowers in the garden.

Two of the boys enjoying the sunny day and one sleeping baby.

That's great that you got to visit with your daughter and grandson.

OC, you live in SUCH a gorgeous place! I'd be down at that beach for a bit every day, weather permitting.

The white and pink flowers are so pretty, what kind are they?

Your ginger furbabies are so cute, I bet they're enjoying the nice weather too.

Blessings,

Victoria

Victoria, I haven't a clue what those flowers are. I wish I knew. They are very attractive and seem to self seed readily.

Nothing like Nature's perfumery is there. Send a bit of that Summer weather this way would you.

Lovely pictures. I believe the flowers are Mallow, there is a great variety of them; very pretty too.

Toffeeapple, thanks for the ID. Now that I hear the name of those flowers it makes me think I've heard someone else tell me that one time before. Again, thanks.

One SHOULD take more advantage of the summer type fun because it is too soon over. BUT, summer chores, and there seems to be plenty of them, do seem to distract one from those fun things.

Pulled the last of my garlic today and have de-rooted it. I will let it dry for a few days before I top it. I grown hard neck garlic here and one can't braid that kind. The rest of the garden hasn't done all that well this year. But Mingus and I have had a few feeds of pea pods over the last couple of weeks.

Cicero, I've never tried growing garlic. I really should as we eat a lot of it.
