I Just Had To....
show these pictures that I received this morning from my Dad. I have heard that some people get about 2 inches of snow and everything shuts down, lol. These were taken after a recent storm in the city. As you can see going up the path to my parents door is like walking through a tunnel.
OMG, that is amazing! Poor parents. I can vaguely remember something like that though from the early 1960s when I was a child in Kent. My dad had to dig us out of our cottage, no snow ploughs came round there, we lived on a private company estate. Well, nobody had a car anyway in those days, it was a major event if one came past! The snow was right up to the top of the front door, and mum used to take me to school on a sledge. Oh those were the days. Wish I could go back and relive it all now.
lol Pete, and we don't "shut down". Jan that was so interesting. My mom said the next morning when she opened the front door there was just a wall of snow with the print of the door in it. They had to wait to be dug out.
