This is a Male Downey Woodpecker. We also have the Hairy Woodpecker which is somewhat larger than this one. Both are constantly at the feeders.

Nice seeing this and hearing the windchimes (and wind in the background) one thing I've been musing on, sound recording. Any more videos of these Woodpeckers or the Blue Jays would be welcome

Hi Oldcrow - I'm visiting through I and the Bird #75. That is such an enchanting video of the downy. That's probably the only way I'll ever capture a shot of one. They visit me so infrequently, and when they do they take off too quickly. Thanks for sharing your video.
