A Good Hare Day!

Okay, the pictures aren't so good but they are my first shots of a hare I saw on our walk this morning. We left the house at around 6:30 am and I'm now thinking that this is the best time to see such creatures.

It looked like he figured we couldn't see him if his back was turned, lol.

And who did we see on the way back home.....the dog who has been giving us grief! He gets loose every now and then and comes on the property to try to catch a chicken. Luckily I hadn't let the chickens out of their green house area before we left. Roger spoke to the owner about it and he seemed like a nice person and said he'd make sure the dog wouldn't get loose again. Alas, he's still getting loose. The thing is, he's a nice friendly dog and I do like dogs but I don't want this worry.

I'm now going to put a plug in for a wildlife forum that I've been a member of for a few years. It's Garden Wildlife UK. The link is in the Toads Hall of Fame list under Wildlife Forum. We need new members so please have a look. There are a bunch of very nice people there.

I know how annoying it is when folks won't confine their wandering dogs.

Will check out the blog you mentioned.

Hares have a hard time surviving in our neck of the woods ... too many predators.

Off to check out Garden Wildlife UK

I like your hare photos. Buddy with the wandering dog wants to get with the program. Otherwise he might find his mutt dead one day. It's not just foxes that get shot for trespassing.

Clever title, OC!
Stray dogs are a common occurance here.

Great to see the hare and he does look as though he's trying to avoid the camera.

It's cats that I have a problem with!

I'll definitely check out the forum - thanks for the link!
