A Little Excursion.

We decided to go for a 4 klm walk this morning, starting off along the beach. A few minutes walk down the road from the house, we come across this sign at the entrance to the beach.

Then a little further along before getting on the beach itself, we have to cross over a small bridge. These are views from either side of the bridge and one looking down into the water.

Some views of the beach with himself in one shot.

At the other end of the beach we headed up a path to the road. I just know there are fairies living here among the moss and trees.

I then knew this to be true because we found this fairy pipe.

Once upon the road, we took another path where I took some pictures of the flowers that were about.

Then we came upon this lovely horse. He came over to us when Roger whistled.

Just about home and spied these pretty daisies in the ditch.

I really enjoyed your walk OC; some wonderful views. You do live in a very beautiful place.

And I agree - that's very much a place for fairies....well - you've got the pipe for proof!

Interesting fungi!

Lovely pictures again :D

What a lovely place. If I was a fairy, I'd live there. Love the fungus on the trees and the reflections in that clear water. Your photos are just beautiful.

You had all sorts of terrain from beach to woods, and grat photo opts at every turn. I love the lighting in the woods shots...really nice. A friendly horse is always welcome!

Thats amazingly clear water. Do you ever see newts or salamanders around? Just curious, looks like ideal terrain for them.

The fairies have been grooming that area ... I can tell! Thanks for the walk.

Janine, no newts or salamanders. I often see small fish under that bridge. I think they maybe very young sea trout making their way to the ocean. That water runs into the sea at one end of the beach.

Summer may be short on The Rock, but it sure is beautiful.
