Miserable Monday!

It's been dull, it's been rainy, it's been chilly. And while Pan is content with playing his pipes,

I've been bored. And himself is sitting in front of the television staring at the screen. Thing is, the television is off.
And, as a friend has been poking me to remind me that I haven't blogged for a while, I decided to take the camera outside and see what I could find. Not a hell of a lot! I thought I'd take some pictures of rain drops on plants and leaves but I'm afraid you are going to find this as exciting as sitting watching grass grow. But...hey ho, here we go!

Okay, enough of that. The Delphiniums have now started blooming.

The half a dozen or so Angelica plants are covered with huge seed heads.

Hi OC and sorry to hear you've been bored - I do so recognise that situation!! And the weather..... But Pan seems to be keeping an eye on things in the garden..and you're pictures are great as usual.

Really like your first raindrop with the colour reflection. And raindrops seem to stay on Alchemilla (I think that's the plant in your last picture?) for much longer than other plants!

Really hope things improve for you soon!

Great macro shots in the last post. I wonder what himself was watching?

Tricia, boredom is not usually a word in my vocabulary. It was just one of those days I guess. The last plant we call Ladies Mantle, probably the same one you're talking about.

Janine, himself was probably staring at dust flying about, lol.

I get restless sometimes too, guess we can have cabin fever even in July;)

Those delphiniums are beautiful. I'd give a lot to be able to grow them here. They might have done well this cold, wet summer but usually it's too hot and dry.

I like the statue.

Bored???? Get a puppy. He'll liven your life up.

Raindrops on leaves/flowers are very photogenic and you've done good on your pics!!!

Pretty bad to be staring at a blank TV screen. LOL. Perhaps he was wool gathering, mulling. Sometimes I ask D what he is thinking about and he says "nothing". As a woman, I couldn't understand this until I saw a video of a talk by a male speaker who said that when a man says he is thinking about nothing, he really is thinking about nothing .... nnnnnnn .... . Women's brains function differently and are firing off in many directions at once. We never think about NOTHING.

In regards to it feeling like fall ... I always find that there is a marked difference in the air come August 1st ... and we are almost there. The seasons come and go just too fast. I'm way behind.

Cicero, "Get a puppy?" Lol, I have six cats and they keep me busy enough. Interesting what you said about the woolgathering. Yes, the seasons go much too fast and our winters are far too long.

Roses and Lilacs, the delphiniums are Pacific Giants and look quite lovely when in full bloom. They are so easy to grow from seed. I really must save some of the seeds in the fall and plant in other spots.

Even though we complain about it, the rain creates a beauty of its own. Your photos are gorgeous as always. And yes, the seasons are moving quickly. Summer seems all too short, especially if its not a good one with lots of dry, warm days. I got two Autumn/Winter catalogues in the mail today. I was like...eeps! isn't this a bit soon? But I suppose not.

Well I have the opposite problem its the heat thats giving me cabin fever right now...IM so ready for fall to arrive-
the sky is hazy, even the dogs are lazily hanging out in the airconditioned comfort of inside--
Lovely shots of the droplets and the delphinium is lovely!
