A wet, overcast, cool day so far. I'm even considering putting the fire in as it feels cool and damp inside. Yesterday we went for a walk once again, came home and did some gardening. I'm looking around these days seeing what has to be done in the fall. I'm thinking that I'll take most of the plants out of the rock garden as it's gotten terribly overcrowded. Having nowhere that I can see to put more plants, I expect I'll have to either extend an existing bed or make another new one. Decisions, decisions!! I'm amazed at how well everything is growing this year. Even the annuals that I have in pots are doing exceptionally well.
It's the best year yet for the Clematis. I've had this plant for a number of years and usually only get a few blooms. This year it's covered with flowers and I haven't done anything different with it. I'm assuming it's the lovely spring and summer that we've been having.
The Pine Grosbeaks are now back at the feeders, both male and female.

Your clematis looks lovely. We've noticed, as we've walked the local countryside these last 3 years, that some years a plant will shine but the next year not much of anything comes of it while another plant will shine.
It might be a grey and dull day but your pictures are really colourful and cheery! Could the squirrel be a youngster?
Now that's one very contended looking cat! :D

Cicero, lol, the cat certainly thinks she's royalty. She keeps everyone in their proper place. You're probably right about the plants. I've noticed that as well.
Tricia, I too wondered if that squirrel was a young one. He/she certainly seemed like one. Sort of not sure of everything.
That's what I was thinking too OC - his/her hesitancy seemed to come across in the picture so it must have seemed much more obvious "in the flesh" as it were :)
Thanks for posting the Clematis, it is a lovely flower. We have a street named for it but I have never seen one.
