A new year. 2010

A new day, a new year. We had such an exciting evening.....watched a movie and were in bed by 9:00 pm. It can't be because we are getting old surely, my mom 85 and my dad 89 were out at a dance, tripping the light fantastic til all hours. Daughter probably didn't get home until daylight either....

We have been eating so much over the holidays. Lots of sweets, cakes, chocolates, etc. Monday is the day of reckoning. It all has to stop. Got to get back to healthy eating again and LOOSE WEIGHT!! Saying this while I'm here at the computer pushing more chocolates into my mouth.

Santa was good to me....I got a new printer, scanner, copier, a dvd player that takes those sticks. ie: you can down load movies, series, etc. onto the stick and then it goes into the player. I'm also waiting on a new computer. The one I have now is very slow and is getting to be a pain in the rear end at times. Of course I got lots of other wonderful stuff, too much to mention.

We woke up this morning to some flurries. It's suppose to warm up by tomorrow with some rain I believe. The chickens have been able to get out and about the property as the snow we did have had melted and the ground was showing up again.

One of the girls.

A welcome at the back door.

The Fat Cat. I couldn't resist getting this picture.

There are still lots of juncos and chick a dees around and of course always the woodpeckers.

Now, after finishing a wonderful bowl of bean soup, I'm going to get the latest seed catalogue, settle back and dream of spring.

Fat Cat looks rather severe ... down right grumpy!

I must say, we didn't even indulge all that much over the holidays and the weight still packed on. D says, big program coming up this month ... yes the new year is here.

Maybe it is our generation that lost enthusiasm for N.Y. celebrations???

Sounds like Santa was super good to you. I got a new camera myself so can't complain ... just have to learn how to use it.

All the best in the New Year

I think the kitty took offense.
:0) Pretty baby! OC, shame on you for using the word 'fat'. Maybe Plushly Fluffy?

Happy New Year OC, our weather is a bit like yours at the minute! Looking forward to reading more of your tales in 2010.

Cheers Stewart.

It sounds like your weather is a little better than ours.

YOu did pretty well in the gift department. My TV died and I took the opportunity to get myself a nice new one for Christmas. Who knew TV could look so good. My old one had been slowly losing picture for a long time.

I just reached that day of reckoning too (at least I hope I did--I keep pushing it off!). The chocolate I just finished is definitely the last.... the little chicken. You're lucky you have your own!!

I am in the same boat of Chocolate with has stopped and today I actually forced myself to jog a bit out in the Cold air--felt horrible while I was doing it, but later I realized I felt a rush of I think I need to do that everyday!!

Happy New Yr--I was asleep way before the ball fell too--

Just catching up on your blog. Your New Year sounded as glitz and glam as ours, LOL! You know it's come to something when your parents make you look like an O.A.P. ;)

That cat is too sly looking for words!
