A Few Small Creatures

Parents arrived around 10:30 am and it was a lovely day. Not as hot as the day before but quite comfortable. My mother and I went to the greenhouses after lunch. There's not much left there now but we did come away with a few annuals. Last night after supper my father was complaining that he was cold. "COLD?" I said. "Yes, freezing" says he. Asked my mother if she found it cold, she didn't. Next thing I see my father with his coat on, oh dear, time to light the fire.....sigh! lol. And my granddaughter flew into St. John's yesterday so hoping to see her and Laurie this coming week.

Yesterday morning I got some macro shots of bugs. There are more insects about now and I just love taking these shots.

It surprised me to hear your greenhouses didn't have much left, seeing that your planting season is later than ours. I went to one of our garden centers a few days ago and they were loaded with plants. Had some great sales, too. Maybe your greenhouse up there sends all their plants down here:))
Love your shots of bugs. You're sooooooo good with that camera!!!

Flydragon. We get so crazy to buy flowers after our long winter that as soon as possible we buy them up. Really, much too early as then we are stuck with hardening them off during the day and bringing them in at night. A real pain that goes on for weeks, lol.

Stunning pictures OC; what a variety of bugs!

It's really great to start seeing bugs/insects/flutters and great colour after the winter months. Quite rejuvenating!

I can almost hear the drone of those bees. Both the honey bees and the bumble bees seem to be thriving this spring.

Bugs are so fascinating ... especially when one can get up close and personal with them with Macro!

Glad your parents arrived safe and sound! Always a worry.
