My Week so Far!

I'm still laid up! Although the hip is a little better today, yesterday before Laurie left for her flight she had to put my socks on for me. I took a pain killer and muscle relaxant that was prescribed for me the last time I had this. They tend to knock me out so I slept on and off most of the day. Went to bed at 8:00 pm and went out like a light. I feel pretty useless though as about all I can do is scuff around. I'm hoping that tomorrow I will be a fair bit better.

There are tractors and trucks in front of the house and a huge hole in the street. The must be doing something with the water main. I've noticed that the men do a lot of standing around the hole looking down into it. lol.

I've made a mess of the phones. Laurie has this system that shows who is calling and takes messages. Shows how far behind the times I am as I've done something wrong and now I can't phone out but people can phone in. I just get a beep, beep sound and no dial tone. Hopefully she will call today and I'll be able to get it fixed. Obviously this "holiday" is not going too well thus far.

My charges.

I think so long as you and the cats are surviving, the phone can get stuffed! LOL! Poor you. I'm sorry your hip is giving you grief. And how nice of it to act up when you're away from home.

Hope you and the kitties will be ok.

Thanks Ali, the phone is okay. The beep, beep was because there was a message waiting and I didn't need a dial tone to dial out. I'm sure I'm blushing, lol.

Very handsome cats. I have a problem when I visit my sister. They have this state of the art television/stereo equipment. I can't even turn it on;) When I took care of her cat and dogs last summer I went into the kitchen and watched the tiny TV there while the animals ate. Couldn't work the big screen.

If you don't know the system it's not surprising that we don't know what the various signals mean.

At least being there you can take things easy to give your hip a chance to recover again. Take care x

Everything changes so quickly these days its hard to keep up! While I was dog sitting at my sisters last week, they left a message for me, and I had no idea..she said there is a little symbol on the handset to let me know....I had no clue..So she called my cell phone which was one little line away from a dead battery...lol. Hope that hip pain disappears! Very sweet kittys!

So sorry your hip is still troubling you, I know what that feels like!

I hope you will forgive me but I was in fits of giggles at the thought that you had sent the phone system into orbit! Then of course reading what had really happened set me off again ;)

As for the hole in the road thing...'they' have been laying new gas pipes opposite our house and seem to have been there for ever! Every time they pack up and go they suddenly turn up again, anyone working night shifts in our road must be furious by now!!

I do hope you feel much better soon :)

Awww sorry to hear you are in pain my dear friend. Hope it gets better real soon.

BTW what a whoppa Willow is! Obviously has a good appetite lol. Bit like the feral Tom cat up the farm, he pigs 75% of the food, and Little and Shorty hardly get a look in!

Sorry to hear your hip is acting up again OC. Maybe you could get the doctors to give you a cortizone shot, it helps my mom when her joints flare up. I laughed at your comment about the men looking into the hole. Too true.

hope your hip settles down.

Your cats remind me of the cats I have been seeing in Sri Lanka lately. They are a touch bigger and has spots on them.

I like the gaze of Sagwa. Hope all you will get well soon!
