Rainy Tuesday.

It's a wet chilly day so thought it would be a good time to do some clearing up and cleaning inside. I can't....and why? There are cats asleep all over the place, on the chesterfield where I want to straighten. In the linen closet where I want to put clean linens. On the guest room bed where I have to take extra blankets off. On my bed with himself so I can't work around in there. Any moment at all now I'm going to give a great shout for everybody to wake up and move out of my way.

It's hard to believe that we are in December already. I really don't know where this year has gone. Time goes much too fast. I have to say that the month of November as far as weather was concerned was lovely. We did have a fair number of wet days but the temperatures were spring like.

Not much going on except my mind figuring what I have to do for the holidays coming up in a few weeks. Oh, there is one bit of excitement, my granddaughter has a new pet. A beautiful Rat. She got him at a pet shop where he had been for some months as no one liked his colour so he couldn't find a home. I just don't understand humans at times. He loves being petted and she is getting him use to being out of his cage. She's going to get a friend for him once he gets settled. Here's a picture of the little darling. I think he's just adorable.

A few pictures of the area. Not very exciting I must admit.

The only reason I took this picture of our "fat" cat is because her little toes are curled so prettily.

I'm still trying to get a good shot of the crows but not happy with what I've gotten so far. They come for breakfast most mornings between 7:20 and 7:30 am.

That's it! I hear movement behind me so time to get at it.

Hmm, maybe if I get some cats I can use them as a good excuse not to do any housework ;)

The pictures of your area look very impressive to me!

The Rat looks so pretty, no one liked the colour?! I think humans may be my least favourite 'animal'.

Great pics of the Crows, there is a lot of character in those faces.

Sleeping catz with a do not distrub sign on the door...a very sweet image, all those virtual zzz's floating up from the purring kittys. Well when my son was in college he studied biology, after gradution he stated he would never touch a mouse again. He is like me an animal lover and each summer when class was out he would bring all the lab rats home to our house!
Our weather is perfect right now so no excuses for me not to take my daily walk!!

Shy Songbird, I think humans are my least favorite animal as well.

Dixie, it's wonderful that your son brought home all the lab rats. Great to hear of other animal lovers.

We got a goodly snow Sunday night and woke to a winter wonderland. This morning the temperature had dropped to -9C though some near by areas got as low as -18C!!! Usually the end of November is the beginning of the snowy season.

Your scenery may not be too exciting to you but lovely to unaccustomed eyes!

The crows around here won't let us get close, in fact, if I aim a camera their way, they are off like a shot! ... if I can even get close enough to aim a camera.

All the cats around sleeping ... sounds like a good excuse to me! Housework isn't my favorite thing to do.

Oh, you made that fruit cake ... every time I put some extra brandy on, I want to cut into it. Can't wait. You'll have to let me know how you like it! It was liked even by the non-fruitcake likers last year so I'm sure it'll be a hit with your own.

I like your excuse for not getting on ;) ;)

When will humans learn that animals are not fashion items!! He sounds as though he's in an excellent home now though :)

Your scenery is always interesting... more please :D

Perhaps you should just take your cue from the cats and sack out! Hope your Christmas preparations are coming along.

I agree, where has the year gone? We had a nice Nov here too and today is lovely but the forcast is for much colder temperatures. Guess I'll be getting some house work done too.

Beautiful calico cat. Superstitious people call them money cats--supposed to be good luck and bring fortune. I haven't found that to be true;)

Cicero, the cake smells so good when I pour the brandy on that I had to get himself to come have a sniff as well, lol.
Tricia, Glad you're enjoying the scenery.
Marnie, I haven't found it to be true about the calicos bringing fortune, lol.
Ali, all preparations for the holidays are coming along great.

Agreed that this year has gone way too fast. Your crows are very sassy looking, bet they make a racket early in the morning!
