Another lovely Day

We had a bit of snow overnight and part of the early morning but it's turned into a beautiful day. I thought it would be a good time to clean the hen house and turn the soil over in their greenhouse area to make it nice and fresh. After finishing the job, I was near the door and turned around to have a look at the chickens. All of a sudden my cap which I had pulled down tight around my head, was lifted right off. omg, what's happening! I grab up at it and looking up there was that mischievous boy "Stanley" laying on one of the cross beams with his nails hooked into my cap and pure devilment shining in his eyes. Although the hens won't come out when there is snow on the ground, I left the door open so they could, from the doorway, get some sunshine on their bodies.

Two days ago, I went out to check on the chickens just before supper when something caught my eye. It was a grouse, under one of the feeders eating seed that had been dropped by other birds.

Other than that, there really isn't much to report. Himself has a flight booked for Spain in April so he's quite excited about that.

A picture taken of ice around some rocks in one of the bays.

Nothing like a bit of sunshine to get you away from the wood stove for a while!

It always looks so odd to me when I see pictures of frozen sea!

And as I type this your weather gadget (on your blog) is telling me that it's as hot as -7 degrees!!

Stay warm OC ;)

What a bitter cold scene on the beach. Brrr. I loved seeing the grouse. Don't believe we have any in this area.

What a gorgeous Grouse you got there!
Hope the girls treat it with all the dignity and respect it deserves.

You not fancy a trip to warmer climes then, or is this a lads-only-trip to his previous settlement?

Love the ice in the sea picture; as Trish says, it is a very strange phenomenon to us here, caught between the Arctic areas of Canada, Russia/Scandinavia.

Take care, Crow, and stay warm!

Yoke, I like my time alone when he goes on a trip, lol. Not only that, April I will be busy in the garden.

Marnie, if you read this, I've tried to read your blog but lately when I go there Firefox crashes. It's happened several times now. I don't know why as it's the only blog I read that does this.

I too love the sea picture.

We get the odd grouse under our feeders too.

What a rapscallion that Stanely is ... enough to give one a start if not a heart attach!
