Flicker back again.
He was here just minutes ago. Still a bad shot taken through a grubby window. He's very nervous so I have to be careful. Anyway, a little better picture than yesterday. He's just lovely.
What a beautiful bird! We have common Flickers here, which look sort of the same but no red spot on the back of the head. Sadly, I've not seen one for a while.
I'm so happy Himself is all right! You have my sympathy for the two hours you had to wait. I know from experience how harrowing that can be.
I still have an old rotary dial phone, too. You're so right, they're tried and TRUE!
Glad to hear himself made it to Spain. Missed connections are such a pain... due to airline delays I have missed two in the last six months and been stranded overnight in Atlanta as a result. At least he was only a couple of hours delayed.

They are such nervous perverses thatvitvis hard to get their picture! So beautiful though.
You can see what a colorful and wonderfully marked bird he is, I think you got a good shot--is he feeding on suet?
What a little beauty... So pleased he came back and you could get another picture...
(and so glad himself was OK... payphones can be confusing in a foreign country...)
What a stunning bird Oldcrow. great you managed to get the picture before it was off.
What a bird OC, now if that was in my garden....it would be time to getv the collection bucket out...
Cicero, what you said, lol.
Dixie, no he's not feeding on suet. The white is a bit of snow but there are seeds there that he's eating.
Tricia and Andrew, hope he sticks around so I can get more pictures.
Stewart, now don't go giving me ideas, lol.
nice one oc!
What a handsome feller (gal?). I love that little red band on the back of the head.
