Snow...Lots of Snow!

It started snowing this morning and by noon we had already gotten the 10 cm. predicted. It's still snowing and by all accounts suppose to go on all night. I must admit it's very pretty outside, like a winter wonderland and will probably look even better by morning.

Some good news, I hope. This morning I brought in wood, up on the ladder I cleaned off the roof of chickens greenhouse, cleared off feeders and replenished with food, shoveled the deck, came inside and said to himself that something strange was going on, I hadn't gotten out of breath and no faintness. So, he took my pulse, heart rate was up and a steady beat. Could this mean that the beta blockers have kicked in?? I'm hoping that it's not just a "one day" deal, lol. I just cleared the chicken roof again and filled feeders and still no shortness of breath or faintness. Will have to see what tomorrow brings.

A friends birthday on Friday so I've invited a few people in for supper. I think I'm going to have New England Pot Pie, Spicy Rice and salad. I'll make a cake as well. As long as the weather co-operates, it should be a nice evening.

I took a few pictures this morning through the door window. Lots of birds around today.

What was seen through the storm.

Stanley was helping me do the wash.

We were supposed to get more snow tonight/tomorrow but they keep wimping out on us. Maybe it will be rain, maybe sleet...

We've had some major melting. The rocks are now showing around our birdbath and along side the road by a farm nearby and the snow is so solid that I was able to walk on top of it, sans snow shoes, to dump litter in the back field, as long as I stayed on the path my snow shoes had made.

Could use some fresh, nice, pretty snow to cover the brown drifts.

Great news that you're feeling better!! Great news that you have all that snow and I don't:)

Yeah me too Pete, let's hope the wind stays easterly...

Glad to hear you are feeling great despite all that work OC, are you now on thyroxine too, because that certainly helps my energy levels and fitness.

So pleased you're feeling better OC - good news indeed - and long may it last!

We were a bit precious about our snow compared to what you're having; really enjoying your pictures :)

hope it's not a "one day thing" OC. I love reading all your posts, I've got you on my blogroll. You are lucky to have soo much snow, but I dont know how you cope! We only get a little bit in the south of England and everything goes tits up as they say! Its just that as we dont get much we are ill prepared. Take care OC X

Pete, you must try it sometime, lol.
Stewart, Stanley is a love. No doubt about that.
Jj, I know what you mean about the unpredictable weather. It seems we get our worse storms when they are not predicted. As to melting in this area, I expect it will be April before we see any of that.
Flydragon, tattyanne, tricia and Jan, thanks, I hope some of my health problems are solved. Jan, no I'm not on thyroxine, just the syntroid for the thyroid.
