I've made salads for supper as there is a very good chance that we will lose the electricity. We brought loads of wood inside, got shovels at the ready, although we will hire a snow plow if it's that bad. Himself is still suffering from his fall yesterday. Sore all over. He will be going to the shop shortly to get a few things we may need in the next day or so. I remember my grandmother always saying in March that we have to have Sheila's Brush before winter is over. Maybe this will be it. And to think that yesterday morning, it being the first day of spring, I was outside standing on bare earth with a big stick, pounding it on the ground telling the mother to wake up. lol.
I have to get the feeders stocked shortly, I expect the birds will be filling up on food for sure.
Maybe tomorrow there will be some snow pictures, in the mean time....

That is not good news OC - I do hope its not as bad as forecast to be and that you continue to have electricity. The thought of hiring a snow plow seems quite scary to me.

Ahhh ... I feel for you. To get down to bare ground and then have to expect more snow WOULD be almost more than one could take. Sigh. Now there is a type of dancing that is all for waking up the earth in the spring but for the life of me, my poor pea brain just can't drag up the name at the moment. It looked like such fun, great exercise that I actually looked into taking it up ... but to do so meant more than an hours drive at night ... and that is when I still lived at the coast.
That squirrel does have that look about it, that it hanging on for dear life.
Unlike himself, I don't have any residual aches and pains from my fall yesterday.
Your cats are adorable as is your resident squirrel! Oh no, the thought of another snow storm in spring seems too much after the winter we've had and I hope the forecasters are wrong for you. I've checked our weather and don't see any mention of storms, thank goodness! It sure is bitter cold here even with the sun shining...must be the sea breeze! Still wearing winter coat, scarf and hat for walks on the beach.

Lovely photo of the Boreal Chickadee. Good luck with the storm. I have never heard of Sheila's Brush so I looked it up. Newfoundlanders have some interesting folklore. Maybe it will keep himself quietly inside for a while so he can recuperate.
I hope the snow isn't as bad as they forecast...it seems a bit unfair when signs of spring are showing!

We didn't have one this year... Hope yours isn't as bad as you feared!
That's March for you! And besides, snow at Easter isn't at all uncommon on the east coast.
