The weather has turned mild and the snow has shrunk considerably. The feeders have been full of birds lately with the Redpolls coming off and on all day long. Still lots of Juncos around and now there are three pairs of Jays instead of the one pair that's been here lately. As there are usually four pairs around most of the time, I was getting a bit concerned having only the one pair. I saw a male feed a female yesterday and have read that when this happens it mating time. Looks like spring is well on it's way. The Boreal is still here, lots of woodpeckers and black capped Chick a Dees. Quite a racket out there at times.

Lovely pictures OC. You really do have some very colourful and varied birds visiting you.
Great to hear to snow's melting - hope you'll be seeing green very soon?
They're all gorgeous OC. Glad your weather is improving. Your gain is our loss. After two weeks of rain-free, mild, sunny days, it's now turned much colder and they give temps below zero overnight again, and sleet showers. Grrr!
I've never seen a redpoll here. They remind me of the house finch. And the last of my juncos left a couple of days ago, headed north. Say hello to them if they pass by:)) I noticed the male cardinal here has now started to feed the female after treating her so shabbily all winter long. We know what he wants now that spring is here:))
lovely
I love looking at your pics.It amazes me of all the birds that come your way.
Not much in the way of birds here. Snowing lightly this evening.
Your generosity in feeding them is repaid a thousandfold in the amount of birds that visit you. You are indeed blessed.
Lovely assortment of birds OC.
