Sunday...

I can't say that there's much happening these days either inside or out. Damn cold and the wind cold enough to cut you in two, as the saying goes. Just trying to keep warm and dreaming of spring. Thankfully this month is nearly over, February is a short month and with March one is filled with hope that spring is not far off.

A few pictures. Junco, lots around now. Back and forth to feeders all day long.

Saw the "Little Poser" on one of the feeders this morning so braved the bitter wind to take a few pictures.

We left the north countreeee this morning ... -25 C at 10:30 ... arrived at the coast at 0C at 4:30. Yes, little posting for the next week as we gallivant around the big city. Nice to see some squirrel pictures. Reminds me of home.

Brrrrrr - it does sound cold with you OC; no wonder you're staying put and thinking forward to spring; can't come soon enough IMHO.

The Junco pictures with the red of the berries and black & white of the birds, are really lovely.

....and as for the Little Poser; it's always good to see him.

Good golly it looks cold on The Rock! Your birds are lovely tho. Cheeky squirrels! Do you have to try to squirrel-proof your feeders so the greedy beggars don't steal everything on them?

Ali, yeah it is cold on "The Rock". I expect New Brunswick was similar when you lived there so you know what I'm talking about.
No, I don't squirrel proof any feeders, they can have what they want.

You have the cutest squirrels. They look very different than ours. Ours are more rat like around the face. Lots of juncos here too.
